Grind: Scandi Grind angle total: 23
Steel: Carbonsteel 1095 HRC: 58-59
MRSP: 42 EUR
NKD Forester specificly designed for bushcrafting and hunting. The knife blade is thicker (4.2 mm) than a typical puukko or whittler, allowing for chopping braches beside the normal whittling tasks. As the handle weight is reduced by a large outcut the balance for the ready knife will become just right for the job out in the forest.
1095 steel is well-regarded for its high carbon content, which gives it a hardness that contributes to outstanding edge retention. This means that knives made from 1095 steel can maintain a sharp edge for an extended period between sharpenings. The knife blade has gone through an cold blacking finish process, giving it an appealing black, smooth satin finish, and an improving corrosion resistance.
