Although the NKD Forester is a full-sized knife it feels light and nimble. Blade length is kept at 100mm which is well enough for most tasks and keeps the tool agile. The handle has a relatively tall profile which makes it fit the palm of your hand very well. A complete lack of hard angles helps with hotspots while working. The handle belly is pronounced enough to provide a secure grip and there is a small guard. The NKD Forester is meant to be an extension of your hand and not a bulky tool in it.
The NKD Forester 100 may be a new name in the hunting and bushcraft knife scene but its origins date back to the last century. From the start the NKD Forester is created with a burning passion and thoughtfulness that only experience and decades of customer feedback can give. Nordic design elements are combined with modern production to create a powerful knife where functionality plays as big of a part as aesthetics. One becomes the other.
The NKD Forester in carbonsteel is not here to impress with bells and whistles. It is here to work.
Similar minimalistic design elements are also prevalent in the sheath. Strong but subtle. Made in 3mm vegetable tanned Spanish cattle leather it has great retention and stiffness. Featuring a heavy belt loop as its only accessory the sheath has but one job, keep your knife safe. Finished in a classical Cognac brown it is as stylish as the Forester knife itself.
