A knife blade designed especially for wood working. A slightly curved back of the knife blade meets the egde in a fine, severe point enabling for detailed woodcrafting. The angle of the grind increases toward the tip to from 23 to 28 degrees for better support and tip strength. The knife blade is manufactured from the German ThyssenKrupp carbonsteel 80CrV2. A steel used for a long time in the traditional Finnish Puukko. The addition of V, Vanadium in the steel improves the thoughness and edge retention. Designed with a base of the blade as high as 25 mm, together with the curved drop point shape, enables for a wide variation of possibilities when making the handle.
